Having a rambunctious toddler at home means that we spend a lot of time outdoors. With all of the rain we have had in the forecast recently, it has made me aware of the outsized proportion of good memories that come from it.
Exploring the areas around our house with our toddler has re-stoked my curiosity. When you stop to examine every little braid of water or fallen branch, it makes the world feel bigger. It is deeply satisfying to head home from these runabouts with the sky fading to night knowing that we squeezed everything out of the day. “Stay outside til it is dark out” now occupies the top slot in my to do list app.
Maybe it is this time outside or everything turning green here, but I am finding country working its way back into my listening rotation. Naturally this means it is making its way into Postcards too.
Enjoy the tunes and spend some full-value days outdoors ‘til the dinner bell rings.
P.S. I will be skipping next week as we are taking a vacation. See you in two weeks!
Looking for new music? Love art? Every week I create a short, five track playlist of the songs I am feeling at the moment along with a beautiful, found postcard. It’s a spark of joy for your eyes and ears.
